Funding brief: The School Enterprise Challenge is a FREE educational programme that teaches business and life skills. It supports teachers and students to set up a REAL business at their school. How to use the resources already around you to set up a business OUR EDUCATION MATERIALS INCLUDE BUSINESS GUIDES EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS SUBMISSION TEMPLATES MEET ONE OF THEIR SCHOOL BUSINESSES From coming up with your own business idea to writing a business plan and actually launching your school business, They ’ll support you the whole way!

The School Enterprise Challenge is run by the educational charity Teach A Man To Fish.There is $50,000 in prizes available for the most entrepreneurial schools, teachers and students.

The more students involved in the school business, the better! Of course, how many students you can involve will depend on the size of your school. At the Bronze Level, they recommend involving at least 15 students in the business team and at the Silver Level they recommend involving at least 30 students. By the time you reach the Gold Level, you should be involving at least 45 students in the school business.

Remember, if more students are involved, it means more young people will be developing essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership and problem-solving! It will also mean that the business has an even bigger, more positive impact on your school and local community!
