Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD): Inviting applications for the funding theme-‘ Labour Rights Participatory Action Research for Change’.

Funding brief: APWLD invites women trade unions, workers’ groups and migrant workers groups to take part in this exciting Labor Rights Feminist Participatory Action Research (Labor FPAR) programme that aims to develop knowledge, tools and resources that support women in labor movements to shape and engage in policies regarding labor rights and strengthen women workers’ power and solidarity.

APWLD will provide a small grant to eight to ten unions / workers organizations / movements to conduct Labor Rights Feminist Participatory Action Research (Labor FPAR). Organizations will be selected to work with APWLD for 1.5 years (November 2017 – May 2019) to:
Document systematic violations of labor rights eps. issues specific to women workers including women migrant workers at the local or country level
Produce new knowledge and information regarding women’s labor rights to use  for advocate for change
Expand the union’s organizing work to new areas or sectors

Funding limit: APWLD will provide a small grant to the selected organizations to employ a young woman researcher, conduct community / worker consultations and documentation and support advocacy strategies with the approximate amount of USD 10,000.
